America’s Memorial to Holocaust Victims
April 10 - 12, 2007 (during spring break)
Each year, members of the Holocaust Genocide Studies Project at MCC and members of the community visit the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum—America’s national institution for the documentation, study and interpretation of Holocaust history. Participants take advantage of private lecture and discussion opportunities with museum experts.
This year’s trip will cost approximately $350-400 per person* and includes air transportation to Washington, D.C, hotel with double occupancy, admission to the museum and a ticket to a theatrical performance. Our itinerary for the April 10-12, 2007 trip* includes:
Tuesday, April 10
5:30 a.m. Departure from Rochester
8:10 a.m. Arrival in Washington, D.C., Holiday Inn Capitol
Noon: Tour of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) /
Sightseeing
6:30 p.m. Group Dinner at Union Station
Wednesday, April 11
Tour of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM)
Private lectures with museum historians
Sightseeing
"The Pillowman" at the Studio Theater
Late Dinner at Old Ebbits Grill
Thursday, April 21
1:15 pm Depart from Washington, D.C.
