Accuplacer is an exam given to all entering students. It tests the student in three areas, Reading Comprehension, Sentence Skills, and Math. The results of this exam are used to qualify the student for admission to the college, as well as for placements in the students' first English and Math courses. The exam can be taken at either the Damon or Brighton Campus. Click here for the Testing Schedule to find a convenient testing time. The exam takes approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Photo ID and Social Security number are required for testing.

If English is not your native language you will be required to take the CELSA exam for English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) * before taking the ACCUPLACER. The CELSA exam is administered on-line and it is timed. Please refer to the ESOL Placement Testing Information Brochure for current walk in testing times and additional information about the exam. A Study Guide is available online, or can be obtained in person at the Damon City Campus Student Services Center or the Brighton Campus Counseling and Advising Center. Photo ID is required for testing.
